2nd gen classic 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible For Sale.
Due to a big response to my ad for the 1963 corvette I think it will expedite things if I list the history of the car in a letter form. I don’t want to repeat the same story to 20 different people interested in the car.
I bought the car in 2004 online from someone in Pennsylvania. These people totally misrepresented the car either because they didn’t know any better or they were low life liars. I suspected an issue with the car not being a numbers matching, 340 hp car and I got it pretty cheap. I knew what I wanted to do with the car and I did it.
Almost every aspect of the car has been redone, replaced or upgraded to the point of its current condition. It has been garaged always and gets driven during the Florida season to the golf course and back. It’s my estimate the car is about 85-90 percent completed. The following is a list of what I have done with the car to date.
1-custom built L-82 Motor as listed in the ad. This motor is unbelievable and very reliable
2-HEI ignition and upgraded high amp Power Master Alternator (old voltage reg. gone)
3-Front and rear sway bars. Took rear sway bar off for softer ride. Fiberglass rear spring.
4-Power steering added works perfectly.
5-front disc and rear drum brakes. These are not power assisted.
6-left rear body on frame restoration right in front of left rear tire. Good job on it.
7-good paint job which could use a little touch up. Lacquer paint makes this easy. Paint is an 8 now.
8-Gauges and dash redone. Fuel gauge not working.
9-BeCool aluminum electric fan radiator
10-probably lots of other upgrades that I have forgotten about over the last 20 years.
Things I wanted to do but never got to
1-Disc brakes in back with power assisted setup
2-fix fuel gauge ( think it’s just a wire issue) and install aerial to radio
3- install new engine compartment wiring harness.
4-reupholster front seats in leather and clean up the white convertible top.
