Vehicle Detail
1st gen black cherry 1962 Chevrolet Corvette restomod For Sale.
This is a 1962 Corvette restomod that has only 25 miles on the odometer since the complete restoration and customization. The color is black cherry with body work that is straight as an arrow. You won’t find a finer quality 62 Corvette in the Midwest. It has both the convertible top and the hardtop. The engine is a Brodix all aluminum 427 cubic inch small block V-8 with a special handmade aluminum intake manifold with a Quik Fuel carburetor. It has the Richmond Super T-10 four speed transmission and a Ford nine inch rear end with 3.73 gears. No expense was spared during the rebuild.
The car was originally painted roman red, never in an accident, and came from Oregon originally. One of the best features of this car is the one of a kind cowl induction hood scoop that was patterned after the two ribs on the hood that came from the factory. The Bonspeed custom wheels from California are 18 inch on the front and 20 inches on the rear with new BF Goodrich g-Force Comp-2 245/40 ZR18 on the front and BF Goodrich 255/45ZR20 on the rear. The rear inner wheel wells have been tubbed to accommodate the bigger wheels and tires. The new front suspension is a Martz custom with tubular A arms and coil over adjustable shocks. The rear suspension is a four link with adjustable coil over shocks.
There is also Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners. It has the original working am radio with wonder bar. The car was built in Lake Havasu City, Arizona with special engine work completed by Pro Marine. The original 62 grille is still in place along with the added nine tooth chrome grille as seen in the photos. There is a March serpentine belt drive and MSD ignition. There is new black olive carpet and a Hurst shifter. There is also a Griffin all aluminum radiator.
There are plenty of pictures and an appraisal of the car when it was purchased in 2014 before the total restoration making it into a restomod. This is one very special car and the new owner will not be disappointed. Over $120,000 has been invested. One 62 Corvette restomod with very similar specifications sold in Houston recently at the Barrett Jackson auction for $170,000 and another sold for $245,000.
I’m moving to a house with a two car garage, and have no room to store it is the reason for the sale. This is definitely my dream car since my first car was a 62 Corvette, and now it can be your dream car. Please no tire kickers, and only serious buyers with cash need to reply to this ad.
