1st gen classic red 1961 Chevrolet Corvette For Sale.

1961 Corvette that I have own since 1988. This car left the assembly plant in St. Louis. Mo/ as a 315hp fuel injectiom, big brake car. Up until the time I bought it, it had several owners as far as Washinton State. I bought it out of Illinois. When I bought it, it was not running and missing alot of parts, but the big brake option backing plates were still on it. Over the years I have collected a lot of the missing part. Everything that I would buy would be 61 correct. I put together a 283 for it in the early years, change the brakes to standard, and drove it. After looking at it today when taking pictures I only put around 7500 miles on it. The car is a two top car with the convertible top being only a few years old. It is a date coded top with a complete top kit install at the time. That includes all weather strips. I have not put the top down since it was install. Before the top was replace the fuel tank was replaced. When I put the car together I replaced all brake and fuel lines, and removed the front end and replaced everything then had it aliend. I mention before that this was a fuel injected car, and my intent was to put in back the way it left the factory. (EXTRAS) I have an engine that was install in a differnt car around the same date. The engine has been bore and pistons fitted to the block. I have all the parts to build the engine with the factory right camshaft.I have a fuel unit rebuilt by John Grata. I have the big brake drums (turn). I have a new rear center section done by Darrell Shepherd (4 speed by Darrell) that is date coded, as the four speed that is in the car built and date coded by Darrell. I also have a new windshield that is date coded. There are extra part that go with the car. The car is very driveable needing nothing. The price I am asking seems like a lot but do your homework and see what these cars are bringing junk. This is a running driveing car. oh I forgot to mention the the interior was redone also, $65,000 Thanks Ed Yes I have the hub caps.
